Sites in BlueCat Edge can best be thought of as a collection of configuration items, such as policies, namespaces, and logging, that are mapped to DNS Resolver Service (DRS) instances which consume that configuration. Sites can be physical locations, but are often used to define a type of traffic or clients (such as “Call Center Users”) that will have certain DNS routing or security policies applied to them regardless of their physical location.
Once you create a site, you can create a DNS resolver service that uses the site information when deployed to a Service Point to collect data.
