You can view additional information about that discovery configuration, and namespaces and discovery instances that use the configurations.

  1. In the top navigation bar, click and select Discovery service > Configurations.
  2. Select an existing discovery configuration to bring up additional information:
    • Environment: The environment that the discovery configuration retrieves information from.
    • Polling interval: The interval at which the environment is polled for DNS data.
    • Domain list: The associated domain list created when the discovery configuration was created. Click the name of the domain list to open the domain list details.
    • ID: The ID of the discovery configuration.
    • Base URL: The Address Manager server URL in the following format: <protocol>://<domain>.
    • Username: The secrets profile name and secret name of the associated API username stored in Secrets Manager.
    • Password: The secrets profile name and secret name of the associated API password stored in Secrets Manager.
    • On discovery failure: The discovery failure option selected to determine how the discovery configuration handles failures to retrieve data.
    • Certificate SHA-256 fingerprint: The SHA-256 digest of the Address Manager public key.
    • Configurations: A list of Address Manager configurations and DNS views that the discovery configuration retrieves DNS data from.
    • Namespaces: The namespaces that use the discovery configuration. Click the name of the namespace to open the namespace list details.
    • Discovery instances The discovery instances that use the discovery configuration.
  3. Click Edit to modify the discovery configuration settings.
    Note: If you edit a discovery configuration, it will trigger the discovery of associated DNS data immediately in the discovery instance, even if the specified polling interval has not passed
