To manage your networks and services in the cloud, you need to add your connections, such as DNS/DHCP agents, by creating them in the Connection hub. As soon as you register a connection in the Connection hub, it connects directly to the cloud. Then, you can use them, for example, to manage services in the DDI orchestrator application.
To add a new connection:
- In the navigation menu, select Connection hub.
- On the Connections page, select New.
- In the Create connection dialog, enter the following
information:
- Name: A unique name for the connectionNote: You cannot create a connection with the same name as an existing or deleted connection.
- Description: A description of the connection, for example, its purpose
- Type: Select a type from the dropdown, such as DDI agent
- Name: A unique name for the connection
- Select Create.
- Copy the connection registration token. This is a one-time registration key that you
must use when installing the connection on the target server. This key is required
to establish a secure connection between the on-premise service and the cloud.Note: This is the only time the connection configuration can be copied. It cannot be recovered.
Once the connection is created, the platform will display a success message at the top of the screen. If you encounter issues while adding a connection, please refer to Frequently asked questions.
