To manage your networks and services in the cloud, you need to add your connections, such as DNS/DHCP agents, by creating them in the Connection hub. As soon as you register a connection in the Connection hub, it connects directly to the cloud. Then, you can use them, for example, to manage services in the DDI orchestrator application.

To add a new connection:

  1. In the navigation menu, select Connection hub.
  2. On the Connections page, select New.
  3. In the Create connection dialog, enter the following information:
    • Name: A unique name for the connection
Note: You cannot create a connection with the same name as an existing or deleted connection.
    • Description: A description of the connection, for example, its purpose
    • Type: Select a type from the dropdown, such as DDI agent
  4. Select Create.
  5. Copy the connection registration token. This is a one-time registration key that you must use when installing the connection on the target server. This key is required to establish a secure connection between the on-premise service and the cloud.
Note: This is the only time the connection configuration can be copied. It cannot be recovered.

The Copy connection configuration dialog, which provides the connection's Registration token that you need to copy to use for provisioning the connection.

Once the connection is created, the platform will display a success message at the top of the screen. If you encounter issues while adding a connection, please refer to Frequently asked questions.

A success message is displayed at the top of the screen when your connection is created successfully.
