The Connection hub is the service that connects the platform to an on-premise service, such as a Microsoft DNS or DHCP service, so that it can be managed in the cloud. To facilitate communication between the service and the platform, you need to install an agent on the service. When installing an agent, you need to provide the one-time registration key that BlueCat Horizon provides upon creating a connection.
The Connections page lists all of your provisioned connections, regardless of their status. Once a connection is registered and connected, BlueCat Horizon periodically requests system metadata, including:
- Connection name
- Connection hostname
- Connection IP addresses
- Connection system OS information
