You can create new folders to organize objects that are related to one another, that need to be managed together, based on categories relevant to your organization, etc.

To create a folder:

  1. In the left sidebar, select the folders icon.
  2. Locate the parent folder under which you want to create the new folder. You can also create the new folder under the root folder.
    Note: The root folder is called All zones on the DNS page and All ranges on the IPAM page.
  3. To create a folder as a child under an existing folder, select the ellipses in the row next to the parent folder’s name and select either Create folder (for object folders) or Create smart folder (for smart folders).

    To create a folder under the root folder, select the ellipses at the top of the sidebar and select either Create folder (for object folders) or Create smart folder (for smart folders).

  4. Enter a name for the folder.
    If creating a smart folder, enter the filter query using the syntax from the quick filter.

  5. Select Create.
