A DHCP address pool is a range of IP addresses that a given DHCP server can assign to clients. Each pool is defined within a specific subnet.

You can configure IP address ranges in DDI orchestrator so that a DHCP server can assign to clients on a network.

Adding an address pool

To add an address pool:

  1. On the Networks tab of the IPAM page, select the DHCP scope in the list for which you want to create an address pool.
  2. Use either the Action menu or the ellipses in the row to select Manage DHCP pools.
  3. In the dialog, select Add pool.

  4. Enter the range of addresses to be included in the pool in the From and To fields. These fields default to the first available address in the range.
    Note: If this DHCP scope is shared across multiple servers (that is, a split scope) and there is an overlap in the address pool, a warning message will be displayed.
  5. Select Add.

Editing and removing address pools

To edit or remove an existing address pool:

  1. On the Networks tab of the IPAM page, select the DHCP scope you want to edit or remove in the list.
  2. Use either the Action menu or the ellipses in the row to select Manage DHCP pools.
  3. In the Manage DHCP pools dialog, select the relevant pool.
  4. On the ellipses in the row, select Edit to edit the pool or Remove to remove it.
