In the DNS section, you can specify various DNS-related settings, such as the creation of delegation records, enabling DDI orchestrator to adjust zone transfer settings on DNS servers, and including DNSSEC records when appropriate.
Delegation records
- Automatically create delegation records when creating zones
- When selected, DDI orchestrator will automatically create delegation records (NS records) in the corresponding parent zones whenever subzones are created. This ensures that the delegation chain between parent and subzone is correctly maintained.
Adjust zone transfer
- Allow DDI orchestrator to adjust zone transfer settings on Microsoft servers to enable secondary zones to be opened from within DDI orchestrator
- Select the checkbox to allow DDI orchestrator to automatically adjust zone transfer settings on MS DNS servers. Enabling this setting allows secondary zones to be opened from within DDI orchestrator.
DNSSEC
- Include derived DNSSEC records
- Select the checkbox to include derived DNSSEC records when viewing
DNSSEC-signed zones in DDI orchestrator.Note: This may significantly increase the size of the database and may affect overall system performance.
