BlueCat Horizon lets you disable or delete an existing SSO configuration if, for example, you want to use local authentication instead or are switching to a different identity provider.
Disabling SSO configurations
Disabling an SSO configuration prevents users from using an external identity provider to authenticate with BlueCat Horizon. It does not delete the SSO configuration information from the platform.
To disable an SSO configuration:
- On the Single sign-on page, select Disable.
- In the Disable SSO configuration dialog, confirm that you want to disable the SSO configuration by selecting Disable.
Your SSO configuration will be disabled. The displayed Status will change from Enabled to Disabled. However, you can always re-enable the configuration.
Deleting SSO configurations
Deleting an SSO configuration permanently removes it from the platform. Users will not be able to use the associated external identity provider to authenticate with BlueCat Horizon. Additionally, when you delete an SSO configuration, the external users associated with that configuration are also deleted.
To delete an SSO configuration:
- On the Single sign-on page, select Delete.
- In the Delete SSO configuration dialog, check the Yes, I want to delete this SSO configuration checkbox to confirm.
- Select Delete SSO configuration.
The SSO configuration will be permanently deleted from the platform. It will no longer be displayed on the Single sign-on page.
