To temporarily prevent a user from accessing the platform, you can disable them. It's possible to then reenable that user, granting them access again, as needed.
Disabling a user
Disabling a user temporarily disables their ability to access their account. Disabled accounts are not deleted.
To disable a user:
- Locate the user you want to disable in the list on the Users page.
- Select the ellipses in the row and then select Disable.
- In the dialog, confirm that you want to disable the account by selecting Disable.
The user account will be disabled immediately. You can then reenable the user if and when you want to.
Enabling a user
When a user account is reenabled, that user will regain access to their account. Their previous role and group assignments will be restored.
To enable a user:
- Locate the Disabled user account in the list on the Users page.
- Select the ellipses in the row and then select Enable.
- In the dialog, confirm that you want to reenable the account by selecting Enable.
The user account will be reenabled, including their permissions to view information and complete actions on the platform. This change will be reflected in the Status column of the Users list.
