DDI orchestrator lets you manage cloud services that you have added to the system at any time. If necessary, you can edit the properties of a cloud service, and even remove the service from DDI orchestrator.

Editing cloud services

It's possible to edit your cloud services and their properties in DDI orchestrator. Editable properties depend on the type of service you are editing.

To edit the properties of a cloud service:

  1. On the Service management tab of the Admin page, select the service you want to edit.
  2. Use either the Action or the ellipses in the row to select Edit service properties.
  3. Make the necessary changes and then select Save.

Editing discovery settings of an AWS service:

You edit the discovery settings for an AWS service you have already added to DDI orchestrator, such as organization discovery settings or region exclusions, in the Edit service properties dialog.

  • To enable or disable organization discovery: Select or unselect the Use organization discovery checkbox on the Properties tab.
Note: Disabling organization discovery on an AWS service may lead to loss of access to AWS accounts linked to that service. Before switching to non-organization discovery, make sure that your policies adhere to the guidance in the Configuring AWS multi-account setup reference article.
  • To exclude regions or disable region exclusions: Select or unselect the Exclude regions checkbox on the Properties tab.
  • To add or edit organization discovery settings: Enter or edit the AWS Organization details in the fields provided on the Organization discovery settings tab. For information about the required fields, refer to the instructions for adding an AWS service. Instructions on how to set up organization discovery in AWS are provided in the Configuring AWS Organization discovery reference article.
  • To add or edit region exclusions:
    1. On the Region exclusions tab, use the dropdown to select the account(s) for which you want to exclude regions. If you select All accounts, the exclusions will apply to each specific account. If you want to apply additional exclusions to a specific account, only the regions that have not been excluded for all accounts will be made available for selection.
    2. Select the region(s) where discovery should not be run.
The Region exclusions tab of the Edit service properties wizard for an AWS service.

Removing cloud services

Warning: When you remove a cloud service from DDI orchestrator, the associated DNS service and the corresponding zones will be removed, as well as any subnets or cloud networks.

To remove a cloud service:

  1. On the Service management tab, select the service you want to remove.
  2. Use the Action or the ellipses in the row to select Remove DNS service.
