You can import IP address ranges or IP addresses into DDI orchestrator through the Import function.
You can import the following IPAM data into DDI orchestrator:
- Importing ranges
- Importing IP addresses (and DNS hosts)
- Importing devices
- Importing DHCP reservations
Importing IPAM data differs from importing DNS data in that they are separate functions and use different syntax. For information on how to import DNS data into DDI orchestrator, refer to Importing DNS records.
To import IPAM data:
- On the Networks tab of the IPAM page,
use the Action menu to select Import.

Open the network/scope in which you want to import the data. Then use the Action menu to select Import
- In the Import wizard, select the type of data, such as networks, IP addresses, devices, or DHCP reservations, you want to import using the dropdown.
- Import your IPAM data using one of the following methods:
- Paste the data directly into the provided field.

- Select Choose file to upload a file containing the
data.
- Paste the data directly into the provided field.
The text lines of the data for import, or the file contents, must contain lines with
columns/fields separated by a comma ,, semicolon ;,
pipe |, or tab character. For guidance on formatting your IPAM data for
import, refer to Formatting the IPAM data for import below.
For example, if you select and copy spreadsheet cells, they will be tab-separated when you paste them into the text area of the Import data wizard. This is the easiest way to tranfer a significant number of rows from an Excel spreadsheet into the wizard.
