When configuring a failover relationship for MS DHCP, you can replicate scope information between servers. DDI orchestrator allows you to replicate:
- Individual scopes
- All scopes that share a failover relationship
- All scopes on a DHCP server
During the scope replication process, the scopes on the selected DHCP server are considered the source scopes. The content of these scopes is subsequently replaced on the destination server.
Replicating individual scopes
To replicate individual scopes:
- In the list on the IPAM page, select a scope in a failover relationship.
- Use either the Action menu or the ellipses in the row to select Replicate failover relationships.
- Select the source server from the dropdown, and then select Confirm.
Replicating all scopes in a failover relationship
To replicate all scopes in a failover relationship:
- On the Service management tab of the Admin page, select one of the Microsoft DHCP servers that you want in the failover relationship.
- Use either the Action menu or the ellipses in the row to select Replicate failover relationships.
- In the dialog, select the failover relationship, and then use the ellipses in the row to select Replicate failover relationship .
- Select Confirm.
Replicating all failover scopes on a DHCP server
Note: During the replication process, the scopes designated on the
chosen DHCP server serve as the source scopes. Subsequently, the entire contents of
each scope are substituted on the partner server, ensuring a comprehensive and
synchronized replication of scope information between the two servers.
To replicate all scopes on a particular DHCP server:
- On the Service management tab of the Admin page, select one of the Microsoft DHCP servers that you want in the failover relationship.
- Use either the Action menu or the ellipses in the row to select Replicate failover relationships.
- Select Confirm.
