The root user account is created by the platform upon installation. This account can create, modify, deactivate, and delete other user accounts, as well as groups and roles. While the root user can use the platform as a regular user with all available permissions, it is recommended that you only use this account for emergencies and initial platform setup.
On the Root user settings page, you can view and, if necessary, update the root user account information and settings.
The Root user settings page displays the following information:
- The email address associated with the root user account
- The timestamp of the last update made to the root user account
Editing the root user
If necessary, you can change the email address associated with the root user account.
To edit the root user:
- On the Root user settings page, select Edit.
- In the Edit root user dialog, edit the email address in the provided field.
- Select Update.
