Because the connection between DDI orchestrator and Meraki is bidirectional, you can perform some of the most common Meraki DHCP management tasks for DHCP-enabled networks directly through DDI orchestrator, including:
Creating DHCP reservations
You can create a DHCP reservation on the Networks list after filtering for IP addresses.
- Select an IP address in the list and select Reserve on the task bar or use the ellipses in the row to select Create DHCP reservation.
- Give the reservation a Name and enter the Hardware address (MAC).
- Select Create.
Editing and deleting reservations
On the Networks list after filtering for IP addresses, you can also edit or delete a DHCP reservation.
To edit or delete a reservation:
- In the list, select an IP address that has an existing reservation.
- Using the Action or the ellipses in the row, select Edit DHCP reservation to edit the reservation or Delete DHCP reservation(s) to delete it.
Editing DHCP scope options
You can manage your DHCP options on a scope level through DDI orchestrator.
To edit DHCP optoins:
- In the list on the Networks tab of the IPAM page, select the scope whose options you want to edit.
- Using the Action or the ellipses in the row, select Edit scope options.
- In the dialog, you can view the options for the scope and update them, if
necessary.
Adding DHCP exclusions
You can manage excluded address ranges for your DHCP scopes through DDI orchestrator.
To create an exclusion:
- In the list on the Networks tab of the IPAM page, select the relevant scope.
- Use the Action or the ellipses in the row to select Manage DHCP pools.
- In the dialog, select Add exclusion.
- In the Add exclusion dialog, enter the range of addresses you want to exclude in the From address and To address fields and select Add. All addresses within this range, including the start and end addresses, will be excluded.
- Select Save.
Editing and removing exclusions
When necessary, you can edit and/or remove exclusions from a DHCP scope.
To edit or remove an existing exclusion:
- In the list on the Networks tab of the IPAM page, select the scope whose exclusions you want to edit or remove.
- Use the Action or the ellipses in the row to select Manage DHCP pools.
- In the dialog, select the exclusion you want to edit or remove.
- Usethe exclusion's ellipses in the row to select either Edit or Remove.
- Select Save.
