The Connection hub provides a centralized location to view and manage all of your connections. The Connections list displays vital information about your connection, such as its type, platform, and the status of its connection.
You can search for a specific device by name or filter the list by defined parameters. Filter parameters include the following:
- Model, such as Microsoft, Linux
- Status, such as Unregistered, Registered, Offline, Connected, Auth. failed
Connection statuses
The Connections list includes a Status column, which displays the connection status for each of the connections you've created on the platform. Status changes are registered in the System logs. Possible statuses include the following:

|---|---|
| UNREGISTERED | The connection has been created, but has not yet been registered or connected. The connection can be discovered by cloud services and configured by the cloud. Configuration will be pushed to the connection by the corresponding cloud entity once the connection is CONNECTED. |
| REGISTERED | An intermediate status between UNREGISTERED and CONNECTED. The connection is registered, but has not connected yet. If the status does not change to CONNECTED, refer to Why won't my connection connect to the cloud? for troubleshooting instructions. |
| CONNECTED | The connection is registered and connected. Connection agents can receive commands from the cloud services. |
| OFFLINE | The connection is offline. Possible causes may include an unexpected tunnel close or heartbeat timeout. |
| AUTH_FAILED | Connection authentication with the cloud failed due to an expired/invalid certificate that could not be renewed. For troubleshooting instructions, refer to How do I resolve an Auth. failed status on my connection? You may need to reinstall the connection and obtain a new registration token. Otherwise, contact BlueCat Customer Care for support. |
Viewing connection details
When you select a device in the Connections list, a page opens that displays the connection's details. You can also access a connection's details by selecting the ellipses in the row and then selecting View details. The following information for that device is provided:
- Description: The description entered when the connection was created
- Type: The connection type, such as DDI agent
- Model: The connection model, such as Microsoft, Linux
- Status: The connection's connection status, such as Connected, Unregistered, etc.
- Hostname: The hostname of the machine on which the connection is located
- Addresses: The IP address of the machine running the connection
- OS: The operating system on which the connection is running, such as Microsoft, Linux
- Certificate expiry: The date and time that the connection's certificate expires. After a connection is registered, its client certificate is renewed every 47 days
- ID: The connection's unique identifier
- Created: The date and time the connection was created on the platform
- Updated: The date and time the connection was last updated on the platform
