Viewing roles - User Guide - BlueCat Horizon

Users with the appropriate access permissions can view a list of the roles that can be assigned to users and groups on BlueCat Horizon.

To view roles, navigate to User management > Roles.

The Roles list displays all roles on the platform, including both built-in and user-created roles. The list provides the following details for each role:

• Role name
• Description of the role
• The number of users assigned to the role
• If the role is a built-in role or a user-created role

You can use the search bar to search by name or description to locate a particular role.

To view a role's details, select the role in the Roles list. This opens the role and provides more information, like the role's permissions, the groups and users assigned to the role, and when the role was created and last updated.

To view a user's effective access, select the Users tab and select the user from the list. Then navigate to the Effective access tab. For more information, refer to Effective access.
