Configuring BlueCat DNS/DHCP Server for continuous visibility - Adaptive Applications - BlueCat Gateway - 22.7

BlueCat Overlay for Microsoft

Product name
BlueCat Gateway

When the data import scheduler is configured to import DNS records and DHCP leases, the changes made to the DNS and DHCP data are updated in Address Manager periodically based on the configuration of the scheduler. In environments with large numbers of IP addresses and DNS records, the import scheduler process can be slow, resulting in scenarios where the scheduled import cannot be performed frequently.

In this scenario, you can configure a BlueCat DNS/DHCP Server to send notifications from new records and leases to Address Manager without the use of import schedule providing near-instant updates of Windows leases and DNS record changes in Address Manager. You can configure a single DNS/DHCP Server to monitor multiple zones and DHCP servers.
