Once you have configured the Address Manager and Microsoft Windows Server connection information, you must configure the DNS and DHCP data that is imported into Address Manager.

  1. The Servers tab displays the information that BlueCat Gateway is able to obtain from the Microsoft Windows Servers. Verify the name of the server, IPv4, and IPv6 address.

BlueCat Gateway reports any errors related to connections to the execution logs presented at the end of the process when operating from the UI or through the API REST Endpoint.
  2. Under the Import DHCP tab, select the checkbox next to one or more DHCP scopes that you wish to import into Address Manager. Selecting none of the checkboxes indicates that you do not wish to import DHCP scopes into Address Manager.

  3. Under the Import DNS tab, select the checkbox next to one or more DNS zones that you wish to import into Address Manager. Selecting none of the checkboxes indicated that you do not wish to import DNS zones into Address Manager.

If a Primary DNS server is not found from the DNS options of the Windows DNS server, the Primary server indicates "Primary not found". Selecting these zones will continue to import the information into Address Manager and the zones or networks will be added without the Primary DNS server role.
  4. Click Submit to verify the DNS and DHCP data to import into Address Manager.
