Customization packages are customized sets of files that back up and restore server settings that might be lost during an upgrade. Before you assign a customization package to a Server Batch, you must import it into BSUS. You import and configure the list of customization packages from the Administration page.
For more details on customization packages, see Upgrade Customization packages.
Click the Administration tab, then click Server Customizations.
On the Server Customizations page, click the Add button (the plus symbol) and choose Add Customization.
Within the new page:
In Name, enter a user-facing name for the customization package.
Click Browse, browse to the customization package that you want to import (a
*.zip
file), and click Open.
When you're done, click Upload.
The package is uploaded to BSUS so that it can send it to the servers it manages.
Click the Administration tab, then click Server Customization.
Click the download icon () next to the customization package that you want to download.
Remove the customization package from any Server Batches that it's assigned to. To do so:
On the Dashboard page, click the batch to which the package is assigned, click the Settings button (gear icon), and choose Modify.
Clear the Install only and Install and Apply checkboxes.
Click Finish when you're done.
- Click the Administration tab, then click Server Customization.
- On the Server Customizations page, click the checkboxes next to the customization packages that you want to delete.
- Click the Settings button (the gear icon), then click Delete
selected.Warning: BSUS will not ask for a confirmation for this deletion. If you want to retain a copy of the existing package, download it first.
