BlueCat Server Update Services v25.2.2 introduces the following improvements and addresses the following issues:
-
When configuration templates re applied, BSUS now clearly displays which settings require attention.
-
Templates behave more predictably across versions with clear guidance when a platform is not supported.
-
Downloading and editing templates is more stable with clearer messages when prerequisites, such as a service account, are missing.
-
Service Template automation now supports additional capabilities, including DHCP statistics and new integration targets.
-
Uploading large update packages is more resilient and surfaces validation issues, such as checksum mismatches, earlier in the upload process.
-
BSUS verifies running updates and available disk spare more accurately, including both notes in xHA environments, before starting an upgrade.
-
Agent upgrades now handle active and passive nodes more reliable, even when only a single management address is provided.
-
Restores are less likely to be blocked when source and target systems share the same base version, even if build tags differ.
-
Validation and error messages during restore operations are easier to understand.
-
Scheduled updates are kept in sync when batches are removed, and duplicate update attempts are prevented.
-
Previously deleted server groups can now be re-imported without errors. Additionally, issues causing inconsistent behavior during batch creation have been resolved.
-
Improvements have been made for the handling the reboots, safer upgrade behavior, improved validation, and clearer wording across the admin UI.
