BlueCat Adaptive Applications are licensed, out-of-the-box applications that provide you with advanced DDI functionality with minimal configurations. Adaptive Applications extend the functionality of the BlueCat core Adaptive DNS platform, DNS Integrity, in specific areas to drive increased customer value and competitive differentiation.
The BlueCat Cisco DNA Generic IPAM Driver synchronizes data between Cisco DNA Center and Address Manager, allowing users to gain insight into network IP address scopes and provision scopes that the enterprise owns directly within Cisco DNA Center or the BlueCat Address Manager user interface.
In SD-Access deployments, the BlueCat Cisco DNA Generic IPAM Driver provides the following:
- Access to existing IP address scopes, referred to as IP address pools in Cisco DNA Center. In Address Manager, Cisco DNA Center global-pools are represented as network blocks and sub-pools are represented as networks.
- When configuring new IP address pools in Cisco DNA Center, the pools populated in Address Manager, reducing manual IP address management tasks.
Attention: If you are using the Cisco DNA Generic IPAM Driver plug-in provided
by Cisco, you must configure the plug-in to connect directly to Address Manager and
use the Address Manager credentials. If you are using the Cisco DNA Generic IPAM Driver
Adaptive Application from BlueCat, you must configure the Adaptive Application to
directly connect to the BlueCat Gateway instance that contains the Cisco DNA Generic IPAM Driver Adaptive Application.
