Before you begin, ensure that the following prerequisites are met.

Software Prerequisites

  • You must be running Address Manager 9.4.0, 9.5.0, or 9.6.0.

  • You must be running DNS/DHCP Server 9.4.0, 9.5.0, or 9.6.0.

  • The host machine that will be running the BlueCat Gateway instance must have Docker installed.

  • You must be running Cisco DNA Center up to v2.3.7.9.

Hardware Prerequisites

  • You must have at least 2 CPUs and 8GB of RAM allocated to the host machine that will be running BlueCat Gateway.

  • You must have at least 50GB of free disk space on the host machine.

Attention: BlueCat recommends configuring two Cisco DNA Generic IPAM Driver instances on the same network: one that acts as a primary instance and one that acts as a standby instance in the event of an outage with the primary instance.

Configuration Prerequisites

You must configure the BlueCatGateway UDF and a BlueCat Gateway user on Address Manager. For more information, see the Configuring BlueCat Gateway section of the BlueCat Gateway Installation Guide.
