The following example shows EC2 instances as configured in Amazon Web Services (AWS). EC2 instances are analagous to virtual machines, supplied by AWS.
Within Address Manager, Cloud Discovery & Visibility imports EC2 instances as devices. The following example illustrates two EC2 instances that CDV has added to Address Manager as two separate devices.
When clicking on the device in the Address Manager user interface, you can see any subnets that are associated to the EC2 instance and any additional data of the EC2 instance. The following image displays the device details page of the EC2 instance in the Address Manager user interface.
Within the IP Space, the addresses associated to the EC2 instances are also assigned to the EC2 device in Address Manager. The following image displays the IP address assigned to the EC2 instance in the Address Manager user interface.
