AWS Visibility jobs continually search the AWS infrastructure for changes to network details and resources (see AWS job settings: Monitoring Options.) Visibility jobs for discoveries on the Organization level will detect changes in the number of AWS accounts and their details and take the following actions:
  • New accounts: CDV will run Discovery on newly-created AWS accounts, as long as they match the AWS account filter in the Schedule Manager or when configuring Visibility.

  • Removed accounts: AWS accounts that were removed or suspended will be removed from Discovery and Visibility.

  • Changed accounts: AWS accounts with changed attributes (such as changed organizational units, names, tags, or that have removed tags) will be removed from Discovery/Visibility if they no longer match the AWS account filter in the Schedule Manager or when configuring Visibility.

For more details, see Running AWS Organization-level discovery and visibility.
