When you create a new discovery or visibility using the Basic setup, CDV chooses a set of default Discovery options. (Discovery options identify the specific types of network resources that you want to look for and import into Address Manager.) Basic setup includes most, but not all types of network resources. In particular, Basic setup will not include resources that require additional configuration during discovery setup.

The list below states the exact names of the CDV discovery options enabled when you choose Basic setup in the Create new discovery dialog box for Google Cloud Platform discovery or visibility. When you choose Advanced setup instead, these options are displayed in the Discovery options tab (that appears only when you select Advanced setup).

After you create a discovery or visibility during Basic setup, you can modify the resources discovered by editing the Discovery options.
