The following sections illustrate VPC network data that Cloud Discovery & Visibility (CDV) imports into Address Manager from Google Cloud Platforms (GCP).

Non-overlapping address spaces

In the following example, three VPC networks have been created on GCP.

Upon a successful import of data into Address Manager, CDV creates a new configuration with the name of the configuration defined in the Discovery Options section of Discovery & Visibility GCP. The VPC networks are imported to IPv4 blocks under the IP Space tab in the Address Manager user interface. The name of the block corresponds to the VPC network name in GCP. The following image displays the data imported into Address Manager.

Overlapping address spaces

In the following example, three VPC networks have been created on GCP where the 10.1.1.0/24 address space is overlapping in networks vpc-1 and vpc-2.

Upon the successful import of the data into Address Manager, a two new configuration are created in Address Manager to account for the overlapping address space. The following image displays the configurations created in Address Manager.
