Cloud Discovery & Visibility (CDV) is distributed as a Docker image. You must have Docker to install and deploy CDV. You can deploy CDV on any machine in your system. You can also install CDV on a BlueCat DNS/DHCP Server (BDDS) or in the Cloud.
Attention: CDV v25.3 is supported only with
Address Manager v9.5.0, 9.5.1, v9.6.0, and Integrity X v25.1.0.
- Installing Cloud Discovery & Visibility in the Cloud
- Installing Cloud Discovery & Visibility on a BDDS
- Installing the Cloud Discovery & Visibility Docker image
After installing CDV, if you will be using it on systems with HTTPS, you must set up an SSL/TLS certificate for BlueCat Address Manager and Gateway (which CDV runs on) to communicate with each other. For more details, see Setting the Address Manager and Gateway server certificate.
Tip: If you have a previous version of CDV, the upgrade steps are much simpler.
However, there are additional steps you must perform to make sure your existing
visibility jobs can be easily restarted. For more details, see Upgrading Cloud
Discovery & Visibility.
