When working with Azure, the service principal may expire. When this happens, you can update credentials for the visibility jobs in one or more Visibility Managers, then restart them without deleting and recreating new jobs.

Tip: You can set stop and restart Visibility Managers using both the Cloud Discovery & Visibility (CDV) UI and the CDV API.
To update the Azure credentials for a visibility job
  1. Under Visibility Management, select the checkbox next to one or more visibility managers.

  2. Click and select Update credentials.

  3. In the Update Credentials window, enter the following information:

    • Directory (Tenant) ID: Enter the updated tenant ID of the Service Principal account that you will use to authenticate with Azure.

    • Application (Client) ID: Enter the updated client ID of the Service Principal account that you will use to authenticate with Azure.

    • Client Secret Value: Enter the updated secret value of the Service Principal account that you will use to authenticate with Azure.

  4. When you're done, click Update.

When you click Update, any visibility managers (and their jobs) with the status Stopped and Imported are restarted.
