Google Cloud Platform (GCP) service accounts can expire and change over time. You can update your credentials for the specified visibility jobs and restart them without deleting and recreating new jobs.

To update the GCP credentials for a scheduled discovery job
  1. Open the GCP Management page (click the GCP tab in the header, then click the Management tab).

  2. In the GCP Management page, under Discovery Management, select the checkbox next to one or more scheduled visibility jobs.

  3. Click and select Update credentials.

  4. In the Update Schedule Credentials window, enter the details of the accounts used to connect to Address Manager and the GCP service. You will need to specify details about both the BlueCat Address Manager (BAM) account that you use to connect with the Address Manager API, and the Service Principal account that you use to authenticate with GCP.

Note: The Address Manager account must be an administrative API user with full permissions.
    • BAM Username: Enter the username for the Address Manager account.

    • BAM Password: Enter the password for the Address Manager API user.

    • Type: Enter the type of the GCP Service Principal account.

    • Project ID: Enter the project ID of the Service Principal account.

    • Private Key ID: Enter the updated private key of the Service Principal account.

    • Client email: Enter the email address for the client associated with the Service Principal account.

    • Client ID: Enter the client ID of the Service Principal account.

    • Auth URI: Enter the authentication URI (Uniform Resource Indicator) of the Service Principal account.

    • Token URI: Enter the token URI for the Service Principal account.

    • Auth provider x509 cert URL: Enter the URL of the authentication provider's x509 certificate for the Service Principal account.

    • Client x509 cert URL: Enter the URL of the client's x509 certificate for the Service Principal account.

  5. When you're done, click Update.

When you click Update, any scheduled visibility jobs with the status Stopped and Imported are restarted. Future executions of those jobs will use the new credentials.
