This procedure applies only if you have Cloud Discovery & Visibility (CDV) v22.1.1 installed and are upgrading to Cloud CDV v22.2.2.
- The ability to export and import the CDV database was introduced in v22.1.1. The procedure below does not apply when upgrading from earlier versions.
- Launch CDV.
- Export the current CDV v22.1.1 database:

From the Cloud Discovery & Visibility UI, click in the top-right corner of the page.

From the drop-down menu, select Export Database. The Export database window opens.

(Optional) Under Filename, enter the name of the backup file that you want to export. If left empty, the file name is randomly generated.
Attention: Do not modify the file name after you save it locally. Doing so can cause failures when importing the database. -
(Optional) Under Password, enter a password that will be used to encrypt the database file.

Click Export.

Download and update CDV to v22.2.2 of of the Cloud Discovery & Visibility container.

- Launch your newly-installed CDV container.
- Import your previous CDV v22.1.1 database:

From the Cloud Discovery & Visibility UI, click in the top-right corner of the page.

From the drop-down menu, select Import Database.
The Import database window opens.

Under File, click Upload and select the version v22.1.1 database file that you exported.

Under Password, enter the password (if you encrypted the database backup file).
