Add or remove BAMs, and set a default Address Manager configuration or view.
Note: If you passed the BAM IP as an environment variable when first setting up BlueCat Gateway, that IP will be displayed in the General Configuration workflow.
  1. Log in to BlueCat Gateway.

  2. Select Configurations > General Configuration.

    The BAM Settings page opens.

  3. Under BAM URLs, enter the URL or IP address of the primary BAM, and select HTTP or HTTPS from the drop-down menu.

(Optional) In the BAM Alias field, enter the name of the BAM. For example, Primary, Secondary, Test, or Production.
Note: Any path information in the BAM URL or IP address is ignored.
Click Add another BAM if you want to add another BAM.
Attention: Use caution when removing BAMs.

If you remove any configured BAM (not just the primary one) that is being used to authenticate BlueCat Gateway, the system will terminate all user sessions connected to that BAM and redirect you to the login page.

  4. (Optional) Enter the name of your Default Configuration in Address Manager. All workflows will be executed against that specific configuration.

  5. (Optional) Enter the name of your Default View in Address Manager. All workflows will be executed against that specific DNS view.

  6. Click Save.
