Settings in the Standalone section of the General configuration page let you configure Gateway behaviour . when using Standalone authentication. (That is, when authenticating with neither Address Manager nor Micetro.)

To configure Standalone settings (when using Standalone authentication):

  1. Open the General Configuration window. (Click Settings at the bottom of the navigator on the left, expand Configurations, then click General configuration.)

The General configuration page opens. If the Standalone Gateway settings are not displayed click Standalone Gateway to scroll to it.

  2. Modify the Standalone Gateway settings as desired.

    • To change the session timeout: In Session timeout value and Unit, specify the maximum amount of time to wait for some sort of interaction before Gateway logs the current user out. Select the time unit in Unit (like "Minutes", and the number of those time units in Session timeout value.

The default timeout is 20 minutes. If users do not interact with Gateway within that timeout period, Gateway will assume that the user session timed out and redirect users to the login page on their next request. "Interaction" includes both API calls and manual interaction by users in the Gateway UI.

Tip: We do not recommend very short timeout periods (such as only 5 seconds), as this can cause Gateway to time out while processing a request.
  3. When you're done, click Save.

To cancel your changes, click Cancel.
