Due to limitations and changes between different versions of Gateway, Address Manager, and Gateway's Address Manager REST API, Failover Monitoring support varies between different combinations of software versions. This table lists the version combinations that support Failover Monitoring, along with additional notes or limitations for that combination.

Gateway v25.3.0 or greater

Address Manager 9.4.x, 9.5.x, 9.6.x or higher

REST v1 API

Can be configured by admin users only.

Gateway sessions are maintained after a failover event if the current user satisfies the following:

  • The user is an admin user.

  • The user logged in with primary-address-manager as their selected Address Manager server.

  • The user logged in with the same user credentials as those configured for Failover Monitoring.

Non-admin users can log in with primary-address-manager, but the Gateway session will not be maintained after a failover event.

Gateway v25.3.0 or greater

Address Manager 9.5.x, 9.6.x or higher

Address Manager 25.1 or higher

REST v2 API

Can be configured by both admin and non-admin users.

Gateway sessions are maintained after a failover event if the current user satisfies the following:

  • The user logged in in with primary-address-manager as their selected Address Manager server.

  • The user logged in with the same user credentials as those configured for Failover Monitoring.
