When severe problems occur, Gateway might return the following types of warnings and exceptions.
- APIException: A parent of BAMException and PortalException. If you anticipate an exception in the code but do not know if it will explicitly be a BAMException or a PortalException, you can use APIException.
- BAMException: An exception raised by Address Manager.
- PortalException: an exception raised by BlueCat Gateway.
