You can also configure Single Sign-On (SSO) by uploading a pre-configured set of settings files. You'll need two files:

  • The SP Current Settings file: A JSON file with SSO settings from BlueCat Gateway. If you don't have this file, you can download a JSON file of the current settings as described below.
  • The IdP Signing Certificate file: You can obtain this file from your Identity Provider (IdP).

To upload SSO settings files:

  1. Log in to BlueCat Gateway.

  2. Click Configurations > SSO Configuration > Service Provider and IdP Settings.

  3. If you don't already have a settings file to upload, click Download Current Settings File to download the current settings as a JSON file.

This is the Service Provider's (SP) Current Settings file.

  4. If needed, manually edit the Service Provider's settings in the file with the appropriate values from your Service Provider. (If you received the file from a system administrator, you can usually skip this step.)

  5. In Gateway, click Choose File in the Import Settings File field and import the file back to BlueCat Gateway.

  6. In the IdP Signing Certificate field, click Choose File to upload the certificate file from your IdP, then click Save.

Note: The Enable SSO check box appears on each tab of BlueCat Gateway's SSO Configuration workflow. Do not select this check box and click Save until you configure all of the Service Provider, Identity Provider, and OAuth settings. (SSO Advanced Settings are optional.)
Important: BlueCat strongly recommends testing the SSO connection right away by opening a new browser session and logging in to BlueCat Gateway, using the username and password of an SSO user.
