This release updates libraries used by BlueCat software to remediate both security vulnerabilities and false positives from some security scanners. In addition, this release includes the following new features and functionality from Gateway v24.3.0.
Gateway Micetro authentication and integration
On startup of the Gateway container, BlueCat Gateway can now authenticate with either BlueCat Address Manager (BAM) or Micetro.
To perform Micetro actions in Gateway workflows, you can use the new Gateway Micetro REST API client. This thin client makes calls directly to the Micetro REST API for execution. For more details, see Micetro REST API client reference.
The following features supported by Gateway with BAM authentication are currently unsupported when using Micetro authentication:
The Create workflow command in the Gateway user interface
High Availability Gateway workflows
Single Sign On (SSO)
Support for deployment on RHEL in a Podman container
You can now deploy Gateway on RHEL in a Podman container.
For more details, see Installing BlueCat Gateway on RHEL with RHEL-compiled Docker or Podman in the BlueCat Gateway Installation Guide.
View log messages directly from Gateway
You can now view Gateway log messages directly from the Gateway UI. To do so, click
System in the page header, then click View
logs.
On the View Logs page, you can switch between
Access Logs and Messages Logs.
Messages from Custom logs are also included, as long as they were configured in
Gateway's config.json
file when Gateway started. You can search logs for specific text, filter them
based on log level, and download a list of only the currently-displayed log
messages. Only the most recent 1,000 messages are displayed.
