Workflow development best practices and limitations - Platform - BlueCat Gateway - 25.3.0

To ensure the workflows you create are compatible with all future releases of BlueCat Gateway we recommend you follow the best practices described below:

• Save custom configuration parameters for your workflow in a separate folder

• Creating custom HTML workflow templates

• Avoid referencing modules, classes, or functions inside the Gateway application outside of Gateway's APIs (with some exceptions)

• Make use of Python modules shipped with Gateway

• Use the DataTables UI component to import and export CSV files in a workflow

• Use custom error handlers to mitigate API errors and exceptions on each endpoint
