Once you have created the DR Host Record, you must add the IP address answer.

Adding new IP addresses

To add a new answer:
  1. In the left navigation, click DNSTrafficSteering > Configure Traffic Steering.
  2. Click the name of the DR application. For example, dr-site.example.com
  3. Select the Answers tab.
  4. Under Answers, click New > New IP Address.
  5. Under General Settings, set the following parameters:
    • Server—enter the IP address of the regional server.
    • Name—enter the name of the regional server.
    • Region—enter the region in which the server resides. In this scenario, set the IP address of the DR and Production regions.
  6. Click Add to add the server or click Add Next to configure another server.

Verifying the answer configuration

Once you have configured an answer, you can check the configuration in the Answers list.



Deleting the answer configuration

To delete an Answer:
  1. On the Global Server Selector page, select the Answers tab.
  2. Under Answers, select the checkbox next to one or more answers
  3. Click Action > Delete Selected to delete the answers.
