Before you configure the Host Record in the GSS Adaptive Application, you must create and deploy the Host Record from Address Manager.

Verifying that the Host Record exists

Verify that the Host Record intended for use with GSS exists in Address Manager.

To verify the existence of the host record:
  1. Select the DNS tab.
  2. Select the name of the view where the GSS Adaptive Application will interact with Address Manager.
  3. Select the name of the zone where the Host Record resides.
  4. Under Resource Records, find the Host Record that is intended to be used for GSS. In the following example, app01.bluecatnetworks.com is the Host Record.

Deploying the Host Record

To deploy the host record:
  1. Select the DNS tab.
  2. Select the name of the view where the GSS Adaptive Application will interact with Address Manager.
  3. Select the name of the zone where the Host Record resides.
  4. Under Resource Record, select Action > Quick Deploy.
  5. Confirm that the record has been deployed successfully.
