You can configure GSS to regularly update ACLs and sortlist options.

Note: Before scheduling ACL updates, you must configure API credentials in the GSS application installation. Scheduled ACL updates are configured for each health-check region, and will be performed by the active GSS when high-availability is enabled.

To schedule updates:
  1. Log in to BlueCat Gateway.
  2. Under AVAILABLE ACTIONS, click DNSTrafficSteering > ACLs > Schedule Management.
  3. Under First Run Time, enter the time of day that you would like the scheduled update to start.

If you select a daily frequency, the update will occur at the configured time each day. If you select an hourly frequency, the update will occur hourly starting at the configured time.

  4. Under Frequency, enter the frequency at which ACLs and options will be updated. This can be specified in hours or days.
  5. Click Add.
  6. Select the Configuration tab.
  7. Select the regions to be updated regularly by the GSS in this health-check region.
  8. Click Update.
Note: Configure scheduled deployments in Address Manager to deploy the updated ACLs and options to the BlueCat DNS/DHCP Servers with DNS service. For more information on configuring scheduled deployments, refer to Deployment schedules in the Address Manager Administration Guide.
