You can configure GSS to regularly update ACLs and sortlist options.
Note: Before scheduling ACL updates, you must configure API credentials in the GSS
application installation. Scheduled ACL updates are configured for each health-check
region, and will be performed by the active GSS when high-availability is
enabled.
To schedule updates:
- Log in to BlueCat Gateway.
- Under AVAILABLE ACTIONS, click .
- Under First Run Time, enter the time of day that you
would like the scheduled update to start.
If you select a daily frequency, the update will occur at the configured time each day. If you select an hourly frequency, the update will occur hourly starting at the configured time.
- Under Frequency, enter the frequency at which ACLs and options will be updated. This can be specified in hours or days.
- Click Add.
- Select the Configuration tab.
- Select the regions to be updated regularly by the GSS in this health-check region.
- Click Update.
Note: Configure scheduled deployments in Address Manager to deploy the updated ACLs
and options to the BlueCat DNS/DHCP Servers with DNS service. For more information
on configuring scheduled deployments, refer to Deployment schedules in the Address
Manager Administration Guide.
