Once you have configured the DNS settings on Address Manager, you can proceed to configure the GSS workflow.


To set up GSS:
  1. Log in to BlueCat Gateway.
  2. Under AVAILABLE ACTIONS, click DNSTrafficSteering > GSS Installation.
  3. Under Scheduler, set the following parameters:
    • Name—enter the name of the BlueCat Gateway user.
    • Password—enter the password of the BlueCat Gateway user.
  4. Under DNS, set the following parameters:
    • Server—enter the IP address of the Primary DNS server where GSS will be sending the dynamic updates.
    • Key—enter the TSIG Key information that will be used to authenticate the dynamic updates in the following format:
      <hmac>:<key_name>:<key>

      Where <hmac> is the algorithm used for the TSIG key, <key_name> is the name of the TSIG key, and <key> is the key itself.

  5. Under Configuration, set the following parameters:
    • Configuration—enter the name of the Configuration in Address Manager that will be used when searching for GSS-enabled applications.
    • View—enter the name of the View in Address Manager that will be used when searching for GSS-enabled applications.
  6. Click Submit to save your changes.
BlueCat Gateway saves the configuration information and performs a validation check to verify the entered information. You can view the results on the GSS Installation page.
