Once you have configured the DNS settings on Address Manager, you can proceed to configure the GSS workflow.

To set up GSS:
  1. Log in to BlueCat Gateway.
  2. Under AVAILABLE ACTIONS, click DNSTrafficSteering > GSS Installation.
  3. Under ACL Scheduler, set the following parameters:
    • Name—enter the name of the BlueCat Gateway user.
    • Password—enter the password of the BlueCat Gateway user.
  4. Under DNS, set the following parameters:
    • Server—select the IP address of the Primary DNS server where GSS will be sending dynamic updates.
      Note: This field is read-only and populated by the IP addresses of the DNS servers that were entered when executing the docker run command to start the GSS container.
  5. Under Configuration, set the following parameters:
    • GSS Region—enter the name of the GSS health-check region that this instance will update.
    • Configuration—enter the name of the Configuration in Address Manager that will be used when searching for GSS-enabled applications.
    • Key—enter the name of the TSIG Key that will be used to authenticate the dynamic updates.
    • View—enter the name of the View in Address Manager that will be used when searching for GSS-enabled applications.
  6. Click Submit to save your changes.
BlueCat Gateway saves the configuration information and performs a validation check to verify the entered information. You can view the results on the GSS Installation page.
