Once you can configured an application in GSS, you can view the event logs to monitor the health of the application. Events are logged based on the settings configured in the GSS workflow setup. For more information, refer to Setting up the GSS workflow.

On the Traffic Steering page, select the Logs tab.



Within the table, you can select the name of a column to sort the log events in ascending or descending order.

Click the filter icon to filter events based on the following:
  • Application Name—the name of the application
  • Log Severity—the severity of the event messages. The severity can be one of the following:
    • ERROR
    • WARNING
    • INFO
    • DEBUG
  • Answer Configuration—the category of the event messages. The answer configuration can be one of the following:
    • FORCE UP
    • FORCE DOWN
    • SET AUTO
    • CHECK NOW
    • DELETE ANSWER
    • UPDATE ANSWER
    • ADD ANSWER
  • HEALTH CHECK CONFIGURATION—health check configuration changed.
  • SEARCH ORDER CONFIGURATION—search order configuration changed.
  • AVAILABILITY UPDATE—updates to the availability of answers, such as answerUP or answer DOWN.
  • RESPONSE POLICY UPDATE—updates made to application records in a client region Response Policy Zone.
  • DEFAULT RESPONSE UPDATE—updates made to the IP address of the original application record. This displays the answer returned if there is no matching response policy entry.

Click the time filter field to filter events from the Last 1 hour, Last 24 hours, Yesterday, 7 days, or Custom time.

You can also click the refresh icon to refresh the list of event logs and click the download icon to download a log file with the latest event logs.
