The filter panel provides a flexible way to narrow down and analyze specific devices within the network devices table. Filters can be applied individually or in combination, enabling precise queries by location, vendor, model, OS, or device type. This feature is designed for real-time troubleshooting, inventory segmentation, and targeted performance audits.

At the top of the table, the following controls are available:

  • Search Bar – Quick text search for any string match (e.g., IP, hostname, or model).
  • Filter Dropdown – Active filter displayed.
  • More Filters + – Expands the filter options list.
  • Reset Filters – Clears all applied filters and resets the full device list.

Table filters

The filter panel includes the following attributes that can be used to narrow down the results:

Filter name Description Example usage
Vendor Filters devices by manufacturer (Cisco, Palo Alto, Arista, etc.). Vendor = Cisco → Shows only Cisco devices.
Model Targets devices of a specific hardware model. Model = cat38xxstack → Isolates Catalyst 3850/3650 switches.
Device Name Filters by exact or partial device hostname. Device Name contains "CS-Core" → Finds the core switch.
Device Type Filters by network role. Device Type = Firewall → Only shows firewalls.
OS Version Filters devices by software or firmware version. OS Version = 16.3.5b → Identifies devices on a specific Cisco IOS.
OS Name Filters by general OS family or platform. OS Name = Unknown OS → Detects devices without proper SNMP OS reporting.
IP Address Searches devices by management IP or subnet range. IP Address contains 10.8 → Lists devices in the 10.8.x.x subnet.
Site Filters by physical or regional deployment. Site = Australia → Displays devices from a single data center or office.
