We have simplified updating certificates for LDAP servers by adding a button to LiveNX that retrieves the latest certificate and adds it to the trust store.

Pull the latest certificates and update them for your LDAP servers by following the steps below:

  1. Log in to LiveNX as an admin user, click the gear icon in the top-right corner and select User Management.

  2. Select LDAP Management on the left and check the box next to the LDAP server to update its certificate.

    Note: Only one server can be selected at a time to update a certificate. When multiple servers are selected, the Update certificate option is disabled.

  3. Click Update certificate.

    1. If the most recent certificate is not already in the LDAP trust store, you will be prompted to confirm if you want to add it to the trust store.

      Upon confirmation, a green success message will appear.

    2. If the certificate already exists in the trust store, an orange notification will appear.

Note: If multiple certificates exist on the LDAP server, the certificate with the most recent creation time will be selected. Users do not have the option to select which certificate is chosen.
Important:
  • Only the most recent certificate on the LDAP server can be used with this workflow. If you want to use a different certificate, you will need to add it to the trust store manually through the standard process.
  • Certificates are never deleted automatically. If a new certificate is added, any previous certificates associated to that server will not be deleted.
