Licensing
New in-house licensing framework for cloud and offline deployments that unifies common licensing tasks, including activation, refresh, updates, replacement, deactivation, and switching between license models. It also lets administrators compare license changes before applying them, making it easier to identify entitlement reductions or feature degradation.
Key updates:
-
Redesigned License Configuration page.
-
Support for cloud license add, change, refresh, and deactivation.
-
Support for offline license activation, update, and deactivation workflows.
-
Ability to switch between cloud and offline licensing models.
-
Integrated 14-day trial registration and activation.
-
License comparison before activation.
-
License Usage action for entitlement visibility.
Traditional license files are no longer supported. Customers upgrading from LiveNX 26.1.X or earlier must replace existing traditional offline licenses with the new offline license format available through the Customer Care Portal.
Cloud licensing requires internet access. Offline licensing requires Customer Care Portal access. The most recently generated offline activation request file must be used. Developer licenses do not require activation or deactivation.
