Tip: You can now enable the license server directly from LiveAdmin. Go to the License Server section and turn it on. LiveAdmin installs and starts it automatically.

To install a Linux license server:

  1. On a Linux host, extract redistr_linux_10_3.tar.gz, (tar -xzf redistr_linux_10_3.tar.gz).
  2. You can start the 64-bit license server as an executable by running ./lserv64, found in redistr_linux/ licenseManager. Verify it is running with ps aux | grep lserv. If the Linux host shuts down, the executable will need to be restarted.

    Licensing utilities are available on MyPeek in the Free Utilities section.

Important: The license server runs on UDP port 5093 by default. Be sure to open this port.
