From the Engines tab of the LiveWire Engines View, you can add and view information about LiveWire engines.
Attention: You cannot add LiveWire RCEs to the engines view using this method.
To add LiveWire engines to the Engines View
  1. Log in to the LiveWire control point where you will be adding and managing the LiveWire engines.
  2. Open the hamburger menu and select the arrow button next to Engines. The Engines View page opens.
  3. Under Engines, select Insert.
  4. On the Insert Engines pop-up, enter the following information:
    • Group: enter the group name that the LiveWire engine will be part of.
    • Name: enter the optional unique nickname of the LiveWire engine.
    • Host: enter the IP address or control point name of the LiveWire engine.
    • Under Connection, select the method that you will use to connect to the LiveWire engine.
      • Connect with an authentication group—connects to LiveWire control points that are using the same Authentication Group Secret. LiveWire engines that are added with this connection type are called group engines. For more information on group engines, refer to LiveWire group engines.

        If you select this option, click Test Connection to test the connection to the LiveWire engine.

      • Connect with saved credentials—connects to LiveWire control points using a username and password. If you select this option, enter the following information:
        • Username: enter the username that will be used to authenticate against the LiveWire engine.
        • Password: enter the password that will be used to authenticate against the LiveWire engine.
      • Connect by entering credentials each time—whenever you connect to the LiveWire engine, you will be prompted to enter the username and password.
  5. Click OK.

Once you click OK, the LiveWire engine is added to the list of Engines.
