From the Engines tab of the LiveWire Engine Manager, you can edit an existing LiveWire engine.

To edit a LiveWire engine on the Engines View
  1. Under Engines, select the checkbox next to the LiveWire engine that you would like to edit and select Edit.
  2. On the Edit Engines pop-up, enter the following information:
    • Group: enter the group name that the LiveWire engine will be part of.
    • Name: enter the optional unique nickname of the LiveWire engine.
    • Host: enter the IP address or hostname of the LiveWire engine.
    • Under Connection, select the method that you will use to connect to the LiveWire engine.
Attention: You cannot modify the connection settings of an RCE or group engine.
      • Connect with an authentication group—connects to LiveWire engines that are using the same Authentication Group Secret. LiveWire engines that are added with this connection type are called group engines.

If you select this option, click Test Connection to test the connection to the LiveWire engine.

      • Connect with saved credentials—connects to LiveWire engines using a username and password. If you select this option, enter the following information:
        • Username: enter the username that will be used to authenticate against the LiveWire engine.
        • Password: enter the password that will be used to authenticate against the LiveWire engine.
      • Connect by entering credentials each time—whenever you connect to the LiveWire engine, you will be prompted to enter the username and password.
  3. Click OK.

Once you click OK, the updated LiveWire engine information is reflected in the list of Engines.
