Remote Capture Engine (RCE) extends the power of LiveWire to user endpoints, enabling packet collection directly from laptops and workstations. Once packets have been collected on the endpoint, you can copy or move the packets to LiveWire for forensic-grade analysis. RCE is an add-on to LiveWire and provides network and security teams with the ability to:
- Remotely capture live packet data from the user’s device—anywhere, anytime.
- Perform forensic-grade analysis on session flows, latency, jitter, and retransmissions.
- Correlate endpoint traffic with infrastructure-level data already captured by LiveWire.
- Eliminate blind spots and create a continuous view from user devices to cloud applications.
Attention: If you are running LiveWire v26.2.0, you cannot
manage or capture packet data from Remote Capture Engines running software version 26.1.0 or
earlier. You must upgrade your Remote Capture Engines to version 26.2.0 to ensure proper
management.
